Nigeria National Oil Corporation (NNPC) Co., Ltd. dismissed the claim made by a Nigerian man in a viral video, which said that the Senior Automotive Spirit (PMS) came from the Dangote refinery and was sold by Mrs. OIL for 13 minutes than in NNPC Fuel Stations is 13 minutes long.
In a statement released Saturday, February 15, NNPC’s chief corporate communications officer Olufemi Soneye said the assertion was misleading, false, unfounded and totally unfounded, and that NNPC would have any re-issued claims of such a claim. People take legal action.
He explained that the claim stems from unverified and amateur studies that lack credibility, accuracy and professional supervision.
Videos produced on social media show a Nigerian man using two small tiger generators, often called “I Better Through My Neighbor Generator” in Nigeria to compare him from MRS and NNPC fuel stations Gasoline running time obtained.
In the video, the man claimed that the gasoline sold by Dangote essential oil lasted longer than the PMS available on NNPC radio stations, and in addition, it was cheaper.
“The Gasoline Station Lady has a partnership with the Dangote Refinery, which means you can buy locally refined fuel from them. I went to their station in Alakpere in Lagos and got 1 liter for the N925. For comparison, I also bought fuel from NNPC from Ojojubega in Lagos, which costs N945 per liter. This is more than N20, which is higher than the fuel lady. Now, looking at the two fuels, the Dangote fuel looks a little darker.
For these small generators you have to mix the fuel with engine oil before use, so I did it with them both. I filled the two generators with the same amount of fuel, turned them on and set a timer.
After 17 minutes and 51 seconds, the generator running on NNPC fuel died first. Meanwhile, the generator using MRS fuel has been running for 30 minutes.
It’s a 13-minute difference, which is huge, especially when it’s cheap. So yes, the fuel that looks like junk actually lasts longer than the fuel you get at least from NNPC, and it’s cheaper. ”
Soneye dismissed the person’s claim in a statement, emphasizing that NNPC carefully used one of the best compositions to develop gasoline to ensure optimal efficiency, durability and environmental sustainability for consumers.
“In addition, it is important to emphasize that a large part of the Advanced Sports Spirit (PMS) sold at the NNPC retail site in Lagos created this deceptive video – derived from Dangote Refinery, which promotes local production and Energy strategic partners security.
Dangote refineries comply with strict industry standards to ensure the quality of petroleum products provided to consumers.
This misleading video represents another desperate attempt by economic disruptors to misunderstand the public and the reputation of TARNISH NNPC LTD.
We will not tolerate intentional misinformation designed to undermine our actions and mislead Nigerians. Thereafter, NNPC Ltd will initiate large-scale legal action against individuals or groups interested in disseminating false information about our brand and operations. Those engaged in such malicious activities will be fully responsible under the law. ”
