X user shared the encounter between her mother and her neighbors who tried to feel ashamed of not having a grandchild.
She explained that the X user reminded her mother that she had no grandchild at her age and that her mother was hit and told the woman that she still relied on her to make ends meet even if her daughter was married.
“Some people may be very insensitive,” X user wrote.
“This woman in my area told me my mom a happy birthday and didn’t let it end.
“She had to remind my mom that she had grown older without grandchildren.
“My mom told her that at least she didn’t send food to her married daughter.”
