
A 94-year-old man, Adedapo Idowu, has registered for the 2025 Unified Level 3 Entrance Examination (UTME).
Idowu, who registered at the JAMB Professional Testing Center in Ibadan, Oyo State, said he did study his long-standing desire to study political science at the University of Ibadan.
UTME registration in 2025 begins on January 31.
Last week, JAMB revealed that more than 700,000 candidates have been registered, including 11,000 minor applicants.
Idowu shared that his initial fear of higher education was eliminated after his seamless registration experience.
His story is on display in the latest announcement from the Joint Admissions and Admissions Committee.
“I can realize my dreams at an advanced age.
He noted: “The registered staff gave me a sense of belonging through the warm reception of the registered venue.”
He also advises other candidates to embrace professionalism and satisfaction in their academic journey.
