The Lagos State Police Department has denied reports of attempted kidnapping in the state’s Okota area.
Videotapes conducted on social media showed three men questioned by some residents of Victory Manor in the state’s Okoto area. In the viral video, the alleged assailant claims they are in the estate where someone is kidnapped.
However, Lagos State Police Command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said in a statement released tonight that in response to the viral video, Lagos State Command Police Chief, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh , a fact was held today. With the chairman, chief security officer, two other residents of Victory Manor and a man charged in the video.

“After extensive interviews, it is undoubtedly proven that the three (3) men in the video are not kidnappers and there is no kidnapping in the manor. The chairman of the Real Estate Association told the CP that the people were not kidnappers, so the Chief Security Officer and another member of the Security Committee also told the CP that the three (3) men were not kidnappers and that there were no kidnappers in the case.
