
A man identified as Iliayasu Mohammed allegedly murdered his friend Safillahi Muhammad after receiving his meal at his residence.
It is said that Mohammed had invited his friends to the house in the village of Dantata, the federal capital, where he provided him with food and then attacked him with knives.
FCT Police Department spokesman Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident in a statement Wednesday, February 19.
Ad said police responded to the distress call at around 1:30 pm on February 13, 2025.
Upon arrival, she added, police found Mohamed unconscious in a pile of blood, with multiple cuts on his head and body.

“The initial investigation revealed that the suspect lured the victim to his home where he provided him with food. While the victim was eating, Mohamed attacked him with a machete, causing multiple wounds to the head and body. . Police found the victim unconscious in the blood and transported him to the hospital where he was declared DE@d.”
She said the operator’s inquiry showed that Mohammed was a former criminal linked to the notorious group, and the publicity was targeted at motorcyclists’ theft.
Adeh added that during the trial, he acknowledged to Klling and provided information about the group’s business.
Ade said: “Further inquiry showed that Mohammed was a former criminal. During the inquiry, he admitted to the murder and revealed that he was involved in a criminal group led by a man named Hassan, who is still the whole. This The gang is known for targeting motorcycle riders to steal vehicles.
“The police are actively pursuing other members of the fleeing gang. After the investigation is completed, Mohamed will face charges in court.”
