Fido has made an official statement about deleting his hit song “Joy Im Come” from digital streaming platform Spotify.
As of February 20, 2025, Fido’s hit single “Joy In Coming” has been removed from Spotify. Released on December 14, 2024, the song has been a huge success, amassing over 21 million streams and maintaining a five-week tenure at the top of the top 100 charts.
The singer visited his social media page and issued an official statement, saying:Dear oosha_fc, we want to take some time to thank you for your love and support for joy. We have noticed that this song is temporarily unavailable on Spotify and we sincerely cause any inconvenience that may cause you“
“Rest assured, we are working tirelessly to solve the problem, make sure the song returns as soon as possible. Your patience and ongoing support mean the world to us.”
“At the same time, stay in touch with us for updates and we can’t wait for you to enjoy the joy is coming!”
The evacuation has confused fans and industry observers because his record label Oosha has not issued an official statement yet, or has published Spotify for the reasons for the action. Despite Spotify’s absence, “Joy In Come” is still accessible on other major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, before it previously won No. 1 on the Nigeria Top 100 rankings.
In related news, Oosha Records announced a strategic partnership with international issuing company Empire. The collaboration aims to expand the influence of Fido and other artists under the record label, providing them with a global platform.
