
Agents from the Niger State Police Command rescued a kidnapping victim who was tied to his neck and used a padlock.
The headquarters spokesman Sp wasiu Abiodun revealed this in a statement on Friday, February 21, 2025, saying the victim identified as Nasiru Idris was kidnapped by Kebbi State.
According to PPRO, his kidnapper abandoned him when he found the police patrol.
“At around 4 pm on February 16, 2025, a police tactical squad led by DPO’A’Div Kontagora conducted a routine confidence-building patrol along Bangi-Kontagora Road, during which a suspected victim was Mariga was found in the forest and locked on his neck and hands with a padlock, known as Nasiru Idris. “The statement said.
“He was questioned and narrated his abduction through Bena’s Wasagu Lga at Kebbi State in Farin-Ruwa.
“He said he was abandoned by the kidnappers because of the alleged kidnappers fleeing the site.
“The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and efforts to find his relatives are underway.”
