Pastor Samson Ayokunle, former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said that U.S. Congressman Scott Perry’s claim that the United States International Development Agency (USAID) economically supports terrorist organizations such as Boko (such as Boko) Ram, overdue.

Naija News Ayokunle reportedly made these comments in Friday’s episode of Inter Source.

The clergy pointed out that the warnings were issued before regarding foreign backgrounds, as well as the funds and weapons of Nigerian terrorist organizations, but their warnings were misunderstood.

He stressed that the allegations of U.S. Congressmen should not be ignored.

The former president criticized the security agencies for lack of intelligence and pointed out that they had not tracked the origins of terrorist financing until the U.S. Congressman disclosed.

“I will blame the international community, especially the U.S. Congress.

“If they had known this truth a long time ago, why would they come out now? Isn’t it too late? Why would they allow this type of thing to go to Nigeria?”he asked.

Naija News The report said there were a series of allegations that former U.S. President Barack Obama played a role in Boko Haram sponsorship or Nigeria’s sponsorship to promote terrorism.

However, these speculations have been rejected by counter-terrorism and security experts in the Lake Chad region Zaraima WKpointing out that there is no reliable evidence to support such claims.

The expert responded to recent claims, clarifying that despite the Obama administration’s restrictions on the purchase of certain weapons in Nigeria due to human rights issues, there is no record of the U.S. government’s direct funding or support for Boko Haram.

He noted that Boko Haram became a local terrorist organization in 2009 and remained homeland until he promised allegiance to ISIS in 2015.

“During this time, Boko Haram relied on local sources of funding, including robbery, kidnapping and ransom control of the communities they attacked.

“The government then worked hard to curb their expansion, which led to the group occupying the vast territory of Borno, Yube and Adamawa states,” Makama in one Exclusive interaction with Naija newsletter.
