The gangsters kidnapped the Minister of the Regional Council of Munia in Usman Daina, Niger State.
Daina, along with his wife, two children and a female neighbor, kidnapped his residence at Sarkin-Pawa, the Munya Lga headquarters.
According to sources, at around 10 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025, many bandits rushed into the town and fired indiscriminately before heading to the residence of the council secretary.
It is reported that the gangster lit his dog before driving the victim away.

“This is sad news. A large number of bandits invaded Sarkin-Pawa and kidnapped the Council Secretary, his wife and two children. They came around 9:30 pm,” said the author. A source said.
Spd wasiu Abiodun, a spokesman for the Niger State Police Department, confirmed the incident.
However, he said the Council secretary had been released and was working to rescue the remaining victims.
“He was kidnapped at around 10 pm last night and he was released at around 3 am today. The effort to rescue others,” PPRO said.
