GTCO PLC has launched a program to improve the quality of life in families and empower women.

Nigeria News Nalin Guaranteed Trust Holdings PLC (GTCO), a leading financial services organization known for its innovative corporate social responsibility approach (CSR) and stakeholder engagement, announced today the launch of its “Gas Waste” project to improve lives, the report said Quality of life to improve quality of life for families and empower women in underserved communities.

This transformative initiative aims to allocate 3,000 3kg cylinders and burners to low-income families in Obafemi Owode local government Mowe, Ogun State.

The waste of gas projects underscores GTCO’s strong commitment to improving outcomes in people and communities. By providing gasoline cooking for families, the program simplifies daily work, thus providing time for basic activities that support financial resilience. The plan also introduces a structured “gas waste” exchange program that promotes responsible waste management, thereby promoting a culture of sustainability.

The project will be divided into two critical phases to ensure it reaches the people who need it most. During the first phase, GTCO’s team worked with local government representatives to conduct door-to-door visits on 12 wards of Obafemi Owode local government from February 18 to Friday, February 18 to Friday, 2025. These visits will help identify beneficiaries who currently rely on firewood and charcoal for cooking. Participated families will collect and return plastic waste in exchange for cylinders and burners. In the second phase, efforts will be transferred to the beneficiaries for monitoring and increase in the new cooking method among the beneficiaries.

Mr. Segun Agbaje, CEO of GTCO PLC Group, said of the initiative: “At GTCO, we are committed to making real impact through innovative financial solutions and through the communities we operate. Gas wasting is for families Life is easier and gives them more time to achieve what really matters – whether it’s education, meaningful work or personal development. In addition to this initiative, our goal is to continuously develop sustainable platforms to enhance People, strengthen communities and contribute to socio-economic progress.”

As GTCO continues to expand its CSR footprint, waste of gas projects is a blueprint for future interventions that promote meaningful, lasting impacts in underserved communities.
