40-year-old policeman Andraign allegedly attacked his wife in Lagos

Samson Ilawole, a 40-year-old man, appeared in court at the Ikorodu District Court in Lagos on Thursday, February 20 for allegedly assaulting his wife.

Ilawole, who has not provided a home address, is on trial for one offense of assault, pleads not guilty.

Prosecutor Inspector Adegeshin Famuyiwa told the court that the defendant committed the crime on February 8 at 20 Babatunde Rabiu Street near Ikorodu Ijede Road in Lagos State.

Famuyiwa told the court that the defendant allegedly attacked his wife Helen, causing serious head injuries during the debate.

According to the prosecutor, the crime violates Article 172 of the Lagos State Criminal Code, 2015.

Magistrate Judge. OA Ogbe granted the defendant bail at the sum of N200,000 and the two margins are summed.

Ogbe ruled that one of the guarantors must be in a blood relationship and he adjourned the case until February 27.
