Assistant Immigration Principal Christian Oladimeji was reportedly shot dead by a police officer in Minna, Niger State in a case described as an accident.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on February 21, when Hoodlums launched an attack on a police patrol that retrieved stolen materials, according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication covering the Lake Chad region.
The report noted that officials from the “A” division police station of Minna, led by Ibrahim Paiko, patrolled the area near the Obasanjo Complex, at the time They met a group of road construction workers who transported the allegedly stolen irons.
After discovering the police, the worker, who was estimated to be about seven years old, gave up the materials and ran away.
“When officers tried to recover their abandoned irons, they were suddenly attacked by other road construction workers and hooligans who threw stones and other objects at them,” the report reads.

“She is currently receiving medical care and the doctors ensure her condition is stable.” Several suspects were reportedly arrested for inquiries and disciplinary procedures were initiated against the participants.
