The Department of State Services (DSS) arrested three people suspected of assaulting their officers during the crisis at the Lagos State Capitol on February 17.
DSS sources who spoke with the then revealed that lawmakers mobilized supporters to the parliamentary complex, resulting in an attack on the officers who invited the officers who secured the facility.
“After extensive analysis of CCTV footage, we were able to clearly identify the three suspects.” Sources said.

Before the security issue
The leaked memorandum on February 14, 2025, introduced the DSS director and head of other security agencies in Lagos State, reveals that Lagos parliament leaders expressed concerns about potential security violations.
The memorandum claims that the ousted spokesman Mudashiru Obasa plans to force himself to recover on February 18, 2025.
According to the memorandum, parliamentary management saw the development as a “potential security threat”, prompting invitations from DSS personnel to secure the venue.
