Over the past year, more than 30 suspected Ritu@lk have been found in the IMO River in the Oriendu Autonomous Community in the northern local government area of Umiya Island, Abia State! victim of llings.

He said the community’s vigilant organization’s efforts to arrest suspects have also failed because the organization is not as capable as the suspects.
“We therefore call on the state government to pass the necessary logistics and the capacity of guard groups that enable it to match the suspects,” he said.
He said his complaints to security personnel were not successful, noting that the latest was a February 7 letter to the state legislator.
“We even reported to the DSS that they came here and had meetings with us. We need government intervention to arrest the people behind this atrocities.”
