Lionel Messi’s words to the referee who hosted the MLS fixture Inter Miami vs New York City Football Club were revealed in recent reports.

Former Ballon d’Or champion Lionel Messi has a few words to say to the referee, who presided over the MLS fixtures against New York Football Club, involving his team Inter Miami.

The Argentine superstar provided two assists to the Heron by a 2-2 advantage, a big game many classified as against New York Football Club at Chase Stadium. The dramatic game brought Miami Miami to 10 men midway through the first half, with the last Gasp equalizer reaching in the 100th minute.

During the fierce encounter, Messi caught a member of the New York City coaching staff after a previous clash with referee Alexis da Silva, who booked objections for him.

The booking came after Messi protested decisions, which saw Tomasavilés being sent away just 18 minutes after the opening match. Several other controversial calls inspired Messi’s frustration, causing the Miami International captain to be noticeably furious by the last whistle.

What did Lionel Messi say to the MLS referee?

According to reports, Messi reportedly shouted “You’re a coward“Da Silva while expressing frustration to the host during the Inter Miami game. He had more to say, but deliberately covered his mouth with his hands.

Whether Lionel Messi will be fined or sanctioned is a statement made directly by the World Cup champion to the referee, and it remains to be seen.
