    • Since its inception in 2003, NAPTIP has received more than 600 convictions and rescued more than 20,000 victims of human trafficking.

    • Ganiu Aganran, commander of Benin Zonal office of NAPTIP, revealed this at a workshop for law enforcement agencies in Edo.

    • He noted that the agency combines intelligence-driven investigations, inter-agency cooperation, and victim support services to combat trafficking.

The State Agency for Banning Human Trafficking (NAPTIP) announced that it has obtained more than 600 convictions and rescued more than 20,000 victims of human trafficking since its establishment in 2003.

The disclosure was conducted by commanders of Ganiu Aganran, Benin’s Zonal office, during a two-day awareness workshop for Edo law enforcement agencies.
