Lagos court frees Nigerian singer and Maria music boss, Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, with his accomplice, Samson Ba Together with Samson Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry and Owodunni Ibrahim’s rising singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Commonly known as Mohbad
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023 at the age of 27, sparking widespread speculation and charges against Naira Marley, Sam Larry and others. However, according to a report Channel TVThe Lagos State Attorney’s Office (DPP) issued a legal advice stating that there are no cases to answer for the three. Following this directive, Magistrate Judge Ejiro Kubenje enforced the court’s decision to clear any misconduct in the matter.
Meanwhile, the court ruled that the auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who treated Mohbad before his death, would face prosecution along with a friend of the late singer, Ayobami Sadiq. In contrast to acts of recklessness and negligence, contrary to article 251(e) of the Criminal Code, they will be charged, Chapter 17, Vol. 3, Vol. 3, Lagos State Law, 2015.
This development brings a new shift to the ongoing investigation into the tragic demise of Mohbad as legal proceedings continue to be carried out by those still facing allegations.
