A teenager from Cincinnati, Ohio, was charged with murder for allegedly fatal shooting of his stepfather, and reportedly attacked his mother the day before.
Ronez Joyce, 15, is accused of shooting Levonte Hyde, 30, at their home, according to authorities.
The teen’s mother had previously filed a police report saying Hyde had beaten her in the face several times while driving home from the store. According to FOX19, court documents state that Joyce’s mother “has obvious harm on her face.”

Minutes later, when they returned home, Joyce was said to have shot and killed his abused stepfather at least 12 times.
Police arrived at the house around 12:30 a.m. and they found Hyde suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police said he was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center but was later pronounced dead.
Joyce was detained, and he denied the charges when he appeared in court on Friday. He was detained until the next court hearing on March 3.
A criminal lawsuit filed in Hamilton County City Court says Hyde and Joyce’s mother shared the two children.
