The Nigerian news platform learned that foreigners with $5 million can apply to use gold medals to become legal permanent residents and ensure their citizenship.
Trump said the program will be launched within two weeks and will bring “very senior people” into the United States.
According to him, the benefits of the program could help reduce the national deficit.
“This will be the way to citizenship and the rich will enter our country by buying this card. They will be rich, they will be successful, they will spend a lot of money and pay a lot of taxes.
Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick called it “Trump gold medal” and said it would effectively replace the current EB-5 immigration investor visa.
The EB-5 Immigration Investor Visa Program provides us with our place of residence, and they offer foreigners a new business of at least $1.05 million, which creates jobs if the business is in rural areas, high unemployment areas or infrastructure. The project is $800,000.
