    Judge refuses to withdraw from Emefiele’s trial

    • Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Lagos State Special Crime Court refused to withdraw from the trial of Godwin Emefiele, former governor of Nigeria’s central bank.

    Judge Rahman Oshodi of the Lagos State Special Crime Court rejected the demand for a trial against Godwin Emefiele, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

    Judge Osady ruled that the defense’s allegations of bias were unfounded and showed that there was no evidence to justify his withdrawal of the case.

    The defense team led by Olalekan Ojo verbally applied for a judge’s review on Monday, believing his previous rulings suggested the possibility of bias.

    However, Rotimi Oyedepo, a lawyer for the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, opposed the application, insisting that the lawsuit was conducted fairly and fairly.

    After reviewing the cited arguments and legal authorities, Judge Ossodi ruled that the application lacked advantages and subsequently dismissed the application.

    Emefiele asks judge to withdraw money in $4.5 billion fraud trial

    Godwin Emfiele, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has demanded the withdrawal of the Ikeja Lagos State’s special crimes justice, who is allegedly suspected of fraud of $4.5 billion and $2.8 billion The behavior was tried.
