A man, Kelvin Osamede Izekor, killed his 38-year-old wife, Ugiagbe Osaiyekemwen, eight months after their wedding in Edo State.
The LIB report said the incident occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2025, the 50th ceiling mission extension in Benin City.

X user shared a video of the couple’s wedding and expressed shock at the tragic incident.
Moses Yamu, spokesman for the Edo State Police Commander, confirmed the incident in a statement Sunday, saying her husband will be lynched by a mob before police arrived, appeased them and arrested the suspect.
According to unconfirmed reports, the deceased was four months pregnant at the time of murder.
Neighbors claimed that Kelvin had beaten the dead even before he got married, but abuse became frequent after the wedding.
They claim that the suspect had successfully attacked with Chelras.
