The gender section of the Lagos State Police Department arrested a 46-year-old Ibrahim Gafaru, allegedly the 15-year-old niece of his wife.
Police said before being arrested that the suspect had won R3 twice last year.
According to the police, the first fef of the suspect! Leading the teenage girl on December 5, 2024, and repeating the behavior the next day as his wife left.
The commander’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, saying the case was received in the gender unit Ikeja through a letter of recommendation from the domestic and S3xual Violence Agency (DSVA).
Handin said the letter was given to the Lagos State Police Chief, representing the 15-year-old survivor on February 20, 2024.
“The case was against Ibrahim Gafaru, 46. Survivors claimed that from December 5 to 6, 2024, her aunt’s husband, strongly understood her, and therefore a referral letter. The case was accepted at the beginning of the investigation,” the PPRO added.
