Omokri accused El-Rufai of being a key figure in the genocide of Christians in Kaduna in the south. However, the former governor reacted to the post on X imran uhe shared a photo of El-Rufai and Omokri and emphasized the value of guidance and opportunity.

El-Rufai answered through his verified @elrufai’s handle: “Please Imran and let them be.
“They are PR consultants and online influencers. This is a new career that thrives in a new era of hope, as advocacy builds infrastructure, eliminates insecurities and addresses our economic challenges.
“The only qualifications required for salary are (1) moral flexibility, (2) total shamelessness, (3) selective amnesia, (4) struggling upbringing experience, and (5) a strong desire for quick and easy money. The future doesn’t matter. Integrity is controversial. The truth is out!!”
Omokri further claimed that El-Rufai repeatedly admitted payments to killer herders during his tenure as governor.
