Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, the speaker of the impeachment in the Lagos Parliament building, chaired a plenary meeting on Thursday, marking a few weeks after his removal from office.
Naija News Obasa arrived at the house shortly after restoring safety details, and a spokesperson said Mojisola Meranda Retracted in preparation for restoration.
His return has been described as a victory since 36 MPs impeached each on January 13, and he entered the convention for the first time. Obasa challenged his removal, deeming the process illegal, and then took the issue to court.
At the meeting on Thursday, he chaired a plenary meeting attended by a few members of parliament, including Hon. Nuraini Akinsnyahon. Cabhen Fruithon. Jubrel Creamand Hon. Noheem Adams.
In his speech, Obasa emphasized the critical role of the legislature in maintaining democracy.
Earlier, Obasa was quoted as saying:I’ve never been deleted. Impotence or removal is democratic and constitutional, but in doing so, you must follow due process. I don’t object. If I do this, I am not democratic. ”
