
The federal government announced plans to review electricity bills for customers outside the Band-A category.
The proposed hike is intended to bring tariffs on other customer categories to the N206/KW paid by Band-A customers.
Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu spoke in a public presentation of the National Integrated Electricity Policy (NIEP) and the Nigeria Integrated Resources Program (NIRP) in Abuja said that the government is no longer able to maintain N3 trillion subsidies in the power sector.
