The National Science and Engineering Infrastructure Agency (Naseni) announced that the first Nigerian-made helicopter is about to be completed and will be in a virgin flight soon.
“What we are doing now is not reinventing the wheel. We have a project from scratch that includes Nigeria-made helicopters and some driverless cars (UAVs).
Additionally, we obtained some aircraft components from developed countries in the form of half knock (SKD) and full knock (CKD). Using scientific and engineering expertise, we are working hard to assemble and modify them.
Soon, we will conduct the first test flight of a Nigerian-made helicopter as we approach the final stage of development. ” he said.
