    FCT police rescues the kidnapped PDP organization secretary, another in Nasarawa

    The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Department has confirmed the release of the PDP’s organization secretary, Shekolo Samuel Hon Shekolo Samuel, who was kidnapped by armed personnel on the bypass of Guzape-Abacha Barracks in Abuja.

    Shagala, a former legislative aide, Philips Tanimu Aduda, was kidnapped with other motorists and passengers on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at around 11:31 a.m.

    FCT Police Commissioner CP Tunji Disu confirmed the development in a statement Tuesday, saying that Shekolo was released after a joint effort by the Police Department, the State Services Department (DSS), local hunters and Vigilantes around 1:33 a.m. on February 27.

    He was released in the Yelwa Forest area of ​​Nasarawa State, near the nearby Nyanya mine.

    In addition, another victim, Nsiyan Chalse Eyang, was kidnapped near the hills of Nyanya at 8:30 pm on February 23, and he restored his freedom on February 26 after similar rescue efforts.

    Police assured that efforts are being stepped up to track and arrest the fugitive suspect, while the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) took over the investigation.

    The Commissioner urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the security agencies for quick action.
