Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho was awarded a four-game ban and a fine of more than 35,000 to comment on the referee team in a derby clash with Galatasaray. Mourinho commented on reporters after an inciting derby between the two teams earlier this week. Mourinho commented that the game was better because it was not hosted by the Turkish referee. Fenerbahce revealed that Galatasaray’s allegations include formal complaints to UEFA and FIFA, where they will initiate legal action against “defamatory” statements. But now, the Turkish Football Federation has announced Mourinho’s punishment, with a long contact line ban on former Real Madrid and Inter Milan bosses. Mourinho was punished for two separate charges, which was related to his discussion with the hosting team. The federal statement details how Mourinho participates in the game referee and uses statements to make statements about the game’s referee. “He immediately pointed his derogatory and offensive remarks to the Turkish referee, the fourth referee of the game, against him, and accused Turkish football of confusion and chaos, insulting and offensive remarks against the Turkish football community and all Turkish referees, as well as his actions and performances, insulting Turkey’s football activities in Turkey. These allegations resulted in Mourinho delivering two matches, banning access to the locker room and touch lines, and fined 2,542 (117,000 Turkish lira). Referring to the press conference comments, the statement reads: “In the same match, the statement issued by (Murinho) at the post-match press conference, and the subject of the referral was referred to our board within the scope of FDT Article 41. “In view of the nature of the statement, it is determined that statements used against opposition team members are not mandatory, contrary to the concept of ethics and fair competition in the movement, which contains expressions that can encourage violence and division in the movement, are socially divided and separatist, may cause an offensive by fans and are seen as an action with the vitality of sports.” In the statement, Mourinho was handed over to two other games, with a more obvious fine of 32,602 (1,500,000 TL). The tie saw a series of other sanctions, including fines from Mourinho’s coaching staff members, and a ban and fine against Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk, who called Mourinho a “crying man” and blamed the referee full time. Galatasaray will not have a portion of the fans participating in the next home game due to “bad and ugly chanting”, while Fenerbahce will be punished for two games, which is not supported due to the seriousness of the fan incident on the court. Galatasaray’s initial social media article was also punished, which summoned a “derogatory statement against the Turkish people” by the Portuguese manager and attempted to file a criminal lawsuit against him for “racial discrimination.” The Istanbul club received a fine of 65,000 (3,000,000 TL) and the club chairman Dursun Ozbek was punished for denying rights for 34 days. Post Update: Jose Mourinho puts four-game ban and more than 35,000 fines after his first appearance on the Linda Ikeji blog on Galatasaray’s accused of racism.
