The Ikega military constitution in Lagos has been officially renamed to Ta Lagbaja State in honor of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS). Taoreed Lagbaja.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, National Defense Staff (CDS) Christopher Musa and other senior military officials attended the renaming ceremony.
Lagbaja died on November 5, 2024 and was appointed by President Bola Tinubu on June 19, 2023. His military career began in 1987 when he was admitted to the Nigerian National Defense Academy and was promoted until he was appointed as the country’s top military officer.
