Ekaette Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, dismissed the allegations of sexual harassment against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central).

However, Mrs. Akpabio insisted that the claims were completely fabricated, noting that she attended their residence on the alleged date of December 8, 2023.
Mrs. Akpabio said: “The charges are unfounded because she attended her family residence on December 8, 2023. Both families enjoy a long-term kinship, predating Senator Natasha’s marriage to her husband.”
She praised her husband’s commitment to women’s inclusion in governance and insisted that he has always maintained respect for women.

Calling for an end to false allegations, Mrs. Akpabio vowed to seek legal remedies for the matter.
The development comes after Akpoti-uduaghan filed a lawsuit against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which was suspected of defamation.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also called for a thorough investigation into the allegations.
Natasha accuses Akpabio of sexual harassment, Senate president denies
Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment. Akpoti-uduaghan filed charges in an interview with Arise on Friday, saying Akpabio blocked her motion because she refused his progress and was heard on the Senate floor.
According to Akpoti-Uduaghan, the incident occurred on December 8, 2023, when she visited the Akpabio home in Ikot-Ekpene.
