Zelensky left the White House after leaving

U.S. President Donald Trump calls on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy here), announced that Zelenskyy is “not ready for peace” if it involves U.S. support.

In a statement issued after their encounter, Trump accused Zelenskyy of disrespect for the United States and suggested a cooling period in bilateral discussions that impose uncertainty on U.S. support for Ukraine in the war with Russia.

“Today we had a very meaningful meeting at the White House. Under this kind of fire and pressure, a lot of things would not be understood without conversation,” Trump said.

“It’s amazing how things come about through emotional events, I’ve determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace if he’s involved in the United States because he feels that our participation gives him a great advantage in negotiations. I don’t want an advantage, I want peace. He doesn’t respect the United States of America in his precious Oval Office. When he’s ready for peace, he can come back.”

“Today we had a very meaningful meeting at the White House. Under such fires and pressures, it would never be possible to understand these things without dialogue. Surprisingly, through what happened to emotions, I’m sure President Zelenskyy was… pic.twitter.com/ctnqxbncw3

Journalists witnessed the confrontation, and there was no doubt between the two leaders in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict that ended for three years.

Trump actively worked on an immediate ceasefire, urging Zelenskyy to seize the opportunity to stop the violence. “If you can get a ceasefire right now, you’ll accept it – the bullet stops flying and your soldiers stop being killed,” he said.

Yet Zelenskyy insists that a ceasefire alone would be insufficient without firm U.S. security assurances to prevent future Russian aggression.

He retorted: “Of course, we want to stop the war, but I want security assurance.” He mentioned Ukraine’s reliance on the U.S. position on supporting Moscow.

The exchange became increasingly intense when Vice President JD Vance accused Zelenskyy of his position, prompting Trump’s criticism attack. “You are gambling the lives of millions of people. You are gambling with World War III.” Trump shouted. “What you do is very disrespectful to this country.”

Zelenskyy rejected a proposal to make concessions to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the meeting reached a boiling point, which he marked as a “killer.”

Trump refuted Zelenskyy’s position and interrupted: “Your country is in a lot of trouble. You didn’t win this time…you don’t have a card.” And sent out a final pass: “You either have to make a deal or we’re out.” Amid tensions, Trump touted a rare earth mineral agreement that is scheduled to be signed late Friday, which is a “very fair” step, although Zelenskyy stressed that there is no broader U.S. commitment, it’s insufficient.

Trump’s post-conference statement marked a sharp escalation of rhetoric at such a critical moment in the war.

The Oval Office’s allegations of disrespect seem to stem from the impetus of Zelenskyy’s pressure to oppose U.S. compromise, possibly NATO members or territorial losses, a term that Zelensky has long rejected.
