18-year-old girl docked for allegedly stealing her boyfriend in Oyo and stealing N4M from him

An 18-year-old girl, Rukayat Ashiru, appeared in court for the chief magistrate of Iyaganku on Friday, February 28, allegedly allegedly stole N4 million cash from her boyfriend Waris Olamilekan, adding a substance to his drink to make him unconscious.

NAN reported that the defendant was on trial on two counts of murder and theft, and she pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutor PC Olapeju Durodola told the court that the defendants and others now committed crimes in most areas on November 30, 2024 at Mufu Lanihun, Yidi Agugu, Ibadan.

She said the defendant allegedly added a substance to his boyfriend’s drink, causing him to lose consciousness

According to her, the defendant stole the money after adding the substance to the complainant’s drink.

Dourodora says crime violates Sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Oyo State Law, 2000

Chief Magistrate Mrs. Olabisi Ogunkanmi admitted that the defendant was released on bail of 2 million guilds and bail in two surrogate capacity.

Ogunkanmi said one of the guarantors must be the owner of the property within the jurisdiction of the court, and the second guarantor must be of the lineage of the defendant.

After that, she adjured the matter until a hearing was held on May 26.
