Elon Musk declined to apologize for his controversial hand gestures at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, instead doubled down on a series of Nazi-related jokes when he showed up Joe Rogan Experience.
In a podcast released Friday, February 27, Musk raised objections to liberals and others who accused him of paying tribute to the Nazis when he reached out his right hand. He insisted that the gesture was a heartfelt admission of the crowd, adding that he “didn’t see” a strong rebound—a sentence he deliberately ran together sounded like a “Nazi” and then smiled when Rogan suddenly laughed.
Musk followed closely by another term, referring to anything, where people would “Gobebel”, a drama of the name of Nazi Germany’s propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. This is a joke Musk posted on social media before in response to criticism.
The tech tycoon then turned to a more serious tone, saying that he found ridiculous anger and reiterated that his gestures meant in a “positive, loving way.”
Musk often makes headlines, working closely with President Trump to cut government spending by closing departments they deem unnecessary. Despite the controversy, it seems Musk has no intention of apologizing, but instead mocks and criticizes.
