Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, former vice chairman of the Nigerian Senate and former vice chairman of the Delta State APC gubernatorial candidate, reiterated his commitment to more inclusive leadership in the Delta APC.
He assured Delta party leaders and members that the APC will adopt a more participatory approach to decision making that will give every stakeholder a voice.
At an interactive stakeholder meeting in Patani, party members, stakeholders and leaders from the Delta State attended the meeting, and Senator Ovie Omo-Agege said: “I have not claimed a monopoly on good ideas. With such a conversation, we can come up with better solutions to push our party and present it forward.”
Omo-Agage acknowledged past mistakes, “We made mistakes, but it’s important that we are having stakeholder discussions. This is an opportunity for us to exchange ideas, learn from each other and refine our strategies. We must work together to build a stronger, more united party that truly represents the interests of all deltas.”
Senator Ovie Omo-agege thanked Patani’s APC members and voters for their strong support, despite facing intimidation and hostility.
He acknowledged the hardships and sacrifices made by some members, including physical assault and harassment, and thanked them for their dedication and perseverance.
“I sincerely thank you for standing at my party with us. Your support is truly incredible and I am proud that you vote not only for me, but for our president, senators and parliamentary candidates. Your unwavering support means the world to me,” he said.
Omo-agege also assured the parties that loyalty to solving the problems they raised would pave the way for a huge victory in all elections in 2027.
Delta APC governor candidate highlighted the key role of women in politics and ensured APC women that the party would support and recognize them as important stakeholders.
“Women are the backbone of our party and community. They play a vital role in the election and we must ensure that they receive the support and recognition they deserve. I assure you that the concerns raised by our female leaders will be addressed and that we will work tirelessly to promote gender inclusion and empowerment within our party.” He promised.

Omo-agege accused the parties of loyalty to working together at the unit and ward level, noting that the internal crisis will be resolved and that the Delta APC will be stronger and more resilient.
Omo-agege assured the party’s loyalists that their hard work and sacrifices will not be ignored, and that there is hopeful recognition and reward for those standing in the party.
“We will ensure that those who work tirelessly for our party are recognized and rewarded. Thank you for your dedication, perseverance and commitment to our shared vision. We will continue to support you as we move forward together towards the bright future of the Delta State and our great party,” he added.

Senator Ovie Omo-agege, a candidate for the National Progress Conference (APC), condemned the continuous PDP-led government of Delta State in the 2023 election, condemning the ongoing neglect and underdeveloped local government areas in Burrutu and Bomadi.
Omo-agege expressed deep concern about the pathetic state of the road and the general lack of development in two local government areas.
