A high court on the federal capital territory has issued an interim order to prevent the Senate Ethics Committee from investigating Senator Natasha Akputti-Udoagen.

The investigation is related to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s behavior on the floor of the house.

The interim order puts all proceedings on hold pending further judicial review.
The High Court FCT, located in the Federal Capital Territory, has issued an interim order denied a planned investigation into the actions of Natasha Akputti Akputti Udoahhan on the floor of the House.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu issued the order on Tuesday, which was brought by Counsels to the senator representing Kogi Central Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The court’s ruling was conducted with the convening of the committee and the possibility of suspending the senators indefinitely.
With the interim order, all procedures regarding the matter will be put on hold pending further judicial review.
Court rejects lawsuit to block INEC’s election demarcation in Delta
The federal high court in Abuja dismissed the lawsuit filed by Chief Brown Menee and two other National Election Commissions (INECs) seeking to restrict independence in order not to release new reports on election wards and poll units in northern Worri north Worri, northern Worri and western Worri west local government areas.
Judge Nwite declared the ruling that the case constituted an attempt to challenge the Supreme Court’s ruling and described it as a “judicial breakdown.”
