Senate President Godswill Akpabio denied allegations of sexual harassment brought against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan.
At the Senate plenary meeting on the morning of March 5, Akpabio dismissed the allegation.
In his words
“I never harassed any woman. My late single mother was raised and I have always insisted on respect for women. I was even awarded the best gender-friendly governor in Nigeria.”
The former Akwa IBOM governor said he has been flooded with the incident since February 25 and he knows the growing social media.
He urged Nigerians, media and social media users to avoid reaching conclusions and await the court’s decision on the matter.
