Senator Neda Imasuen, chairman of the Senate Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition Committee, expressed disappointment on Wednesday at the failure of the Senate Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan, who represents the Senate District of Kogi Central.
Naija News The report said the female congresswoman had previously had a fierce exchange with Senate President Godswill Akpabio in the distribution of seats.
Natasha also accused Akpabio of publicly humiliating her and hindering her motions and bills on the Senate floor.
Her refusal to accept the new seating arrangement led the Senate president to deny that she had the opportunity to speak at the meeting.
In response, the Senate forwarded the matter to its Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition Committee.
Senator Imasuen said at the committee meeting, “Senator Natasha was properly invited to this meeting. We hope she will join us as we continue.”
Meanwhile, Natasha has not arrived at the hearing as of the time of submission of the report.
