    • TKO Group and Saudi Arabia have joined forces to completely change boxing.

    • In the new boxing league: leadership, talent development and facilities.

    • Saudi Arabia’s influence in combat sports and its vision for boxing continues to expand.

TKO Group Holdings and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the parent company of the Final Battle Championship (UFC), have completed years of agreements with Saudi General Entertainment Authority and Sela.

Geas is a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, and the partnership is to build a new boxing alliance. Additionally, the deal involves contact with other major boxing facilitators, including Gold Boys Promotion, Top Rankings and Match Room Boxing to promote the new league.

Leaded by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the Kingdom General Entertainment Authority, Saudi Arabia is increasingly involved in boxing, hosting major events, including the upcoming heavyweight competition by Tyson Fury.

The Kingdom’s financial commitment to sports, totaling £5 billion since 2021, is part of its broader strategy to diversify from oil dependence.

In a joint statement, Alalshikh and TKO announced a multi-year partnership to create a new boxing promotion.

TKO will hold key leadership positions with UFC President Dana White and WWE President Nick Khan.

“We just made a deal to build a new boxing league with Turki, and they absolutely love boxing,” White said.

He added: “The model has been proven to play the battles fans want to see. The best will fight the best, and the fighter will continue to improve rankings and become a world champion.”

Mark Shapiro, TKO President and COO, described the initiative as “a strategic opportunity to reimagine boxing on a global scale.”

Mark continued: “We are developing the next generation of talent together and providing world-class activities as the sport goes further to disrupt.”

He further expressed his excitement, saying: “The landmark partnership between industry powers sets the stage for an unparalleled experience for boxers and fans.”

Promotions will benefit from TKO’s expertise in media, production and promotions, ensuring high-quality broadcast and live experiences for fans.

While key details, including promotional names, fighter signatures and event schedules, have not been revealed, both TKO and Saudi officials believe that this partnership will revolutionize boxing and attract global attention.

White added: “When we approach the release, we will continue to post details about where you can watch and all the remaining details and I will see you soon.”

With continued investment in sports and recreational activities, Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a major player in the global sports landscape.

This new adventure is expected to bring exciting matches with the goal of bringing the best fighters together in a vibrant new league. As the project gets closer to its release, fans can look forward to exciting updates.
