The Senate Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petition Committee rejected the sexual harassment and abuse of Senate Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan’s petition to declare “death upon arrival.”
Wednesday, March 5, the Commission cites procedural violations and legal restrictions
During the investigation meeting, Senator Neda Imasuen, chairman of the committee, cited 40 orders from the Senate Permanent Order and explained that Akpoti-uduaghan himself signed the petition instead of being recognized by another person, thus invalidating it.
Furthermore, he noted that the matters raised in the petition were already in court, making them outside of judicial and Senate jurisdiction.
