His wife was sentenced to three years in prison after a husband suffered years of abuse at her hands.
Charles Graham, 78, is at his Cheltenham home after threatening to stab him. His wife, nearly 50, and Davinia, 67, is at her Cheltenham home.

Mrs. Graham suffered from mental health problems over the years and her husband and family abused her husband and family, Bristol Crown Court heard.
Adam Vaitilingam KC, the indictment said Mrs. Graham was admitted to the hospital on August 22, 2024 after overdose.
On August 30, doctors determined that she was medically suitable for discharge and that she was collected by her husband.
Mrs. Graham was re-entered after a dispute between the two but was taken home in a taxi aged a while later.
On the 999 call early the next morning, Graham explained that after threatening him, he had K!
He told the phone handler: “Good morning. I might say that too. I’m afraid I’m my wife. I @ng ng her.
“She was in the hospital due to overdose, she had mental health problems and it happened more than once before.
“I’m waiting to take her home and all she does is yelling in the street, walking in the middle of the road.
“I called the police and I tried to track down where she went, but she showed up tonight, very radical, very abusive, threatening me to st@b me, I was kind of lost, I can say.
“She literally walked into the door and tried to push me on the way to the kitchen, threatening her to go to st@b me.
“So I started hitting, I’m afraid. I kept saying that if I hit her, I wouldn’t be able to stop.
“I was filled with frustrated anger. The court heard that the family suffered several tragedies, which led to a decline in Mrs. Graham’s mental health, including the de@th of her grandson and daughter.
“Prosecution evidence shows that the deceased has a long history of abuse against the defendant, which is likely caused by a mental illness she suffered, especially in a daughter a few years ago, which may be due to the suffering,” Mr Vaitilingam said.
“But the evidence does paint a significant picture of domestic abuse.”
Paula White, 43, the surviving daughter of Graham, cried in court, describing growing up as a child.
“I don’t have the best relationship with my mom. She is not the easiest person,” she said.
“But, since her @th, sometimes I missed what mom and she used to do for the family.
“What I don’t miss is the fear I endured when my mom is still alive. I’m worried about visiting or contacting other family members because unfortunately my mom wouldn’t be happy if I contacted them.
“It has had a big impact on my life and felt the freedom my mom is no longer here.
“My mother has very complex psychological needs, and it was my father who was the first to bear the brunt of more than 40 years.
“He protected my sister and me from many things that mom did.”
Graham of Fairfield Road, Cheltenham denied the murder but pleaded guilty to Mansle @ughter for losing control.
Defending Mark Cotter KC said the couple married in 1975 and had two daughters.
“I’m afraid this is a very, very sad history,” he said.
“The defendant told me there were many incidents, it was difficult to order them, it was difficult to remember the details of it.
“This is someone who has been facing a really terrible environment for a long time and it seems to have just reached a point.”
Judge Peter Blair KC, a recorder in Bristol, put Graham in jail for three years.
He said: “I have read a lot about your case and your lawyer has introduced people’s history to some of the history in your tragic family!
“I heard a lot of good news about your usual patience and your management of such a very difficult situation.
“I pay tribute to your daughter, who describes the brunt of your complex psychological needs for her, who she believes has been around for over 40 years and you have protected her and her sister from many things that mom does.”
“My thoughts are still related to everyone affected after this sad and frustrating incident,” said Adam Stacey, a detective inspector with the Gloucestershire Police Department.
