Currently, the Senate is considering a six-month suspension to suspend Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan.
This is after an investigation by the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Code of Conduct, which accused her of total violations of Senate rules.
According to the recommendations of Senator Natasha, Senator Natasha’s suspension will take effect on March 6, 2025.
It also suggested that her office be locked and would be banned from entering the National Assembly venue during the moratorium, while her salary and legislative aides’ salary would be withdrawn.
The committee also recommended that she prohibit representation in Nigeria in any official capacity among the suspensions. The committee also noted that Kogi Central Members could also submit a written apology to the Senate to review its suspension.
The Senate is expected to vote on the proposal if it is maintained effectively deprived of all legislative privileges during its moratorium.
