NSUK Nasarawa State University responded to D3ATH of a 23-year-old Sheba Rilakwo Jatau.
NSUK’s agent information and protocol officer Jaafar Abdullahi Abubakar said in a statement Saturday, May 3 that the deceased was not a student, but a son of the staff member, Professor Benson Shedrack Jatau.
“Nasarawa State University Keffi’s Information and Agreements Department has been warned to learn about reports circulating in some online media about the so-called deaths of students at the university,” the statement said.
“We want to make it clear that the late Shebah Rilakwo Jatau, who passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, is not a student of Keffi Nasarawa State University. He is Professor Benson Shedrack Jatau, the son of the university staff.
“The late Shebah Rilakwo Jatau rested in peace on Thursday, May 1, 2025 according to the Christian ritual.
“The university urges the public to be desperate for misinformation, suggesting any other suggestions. Thanks.”
