Cosmas Maduka, chairman of Coscharis Group, said money is important in marriage and a person should have something before getting married.

He spoke as he appeared on the microphone on the podcast.

Host Seun Okinbaloye noted that many girls insist on not earning a certain amount per month and men who do not own cars should not approach them. He asked Cosma what he should say.

Mr. Maduka replied: “Seun, it found the middle of the road because it is also important.

“Some ladies jumped up because he said, ‘I will marry you. I love you.’ Will you eat love?

“I told ladies, I said, ‘If you marry a man who has no job because he speaks in tongues, you are not spiritual.”

“I don’t encourage women to marry a man who has no plans for life.

“The first thing I said, at least, he had to have a two to three bedroom apartment. He had to tell you what he earned every month.

He added that instead of taking his wife to live in his parents’ home when he was ready to get married, he made sure he got a three-bedroom house because he knew he had plans to get married.

“It’s part of maturity,” he added.

He further said that he was already working and earned enough money to take care of a family before deciding to get married.
