Former Manchester United player Aaron Wan-Bissaka has officially transferred his international allegiance from England to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The right-back decided to switch his nationality from three lions to Congo because he had no competition and he failed to break into the England national team.

Wan-Bissaka was born in Croydon, London, and was a Congolese parent who represented the Doctor of England and Congo at the youth level. He has played for England under 20 and under 21 teams, but has never won a senior cap.

Wan-Bissaka said he played fiercely at England’s preferred right-back position, which included players like Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James, which is the reason for the switch. He had previously expressed interest in representing the Congo Doctor at the advanced level.
