Sani Abacha Raees, grandson of the late military head, claimed that his grandfather protected and saved his friend and classmate Ibrahim Babajda (IBB) and they are in the army.
Young Abacha made his claim in response to Babangida’s new book Journe in In Service On Service, which rekinds debate on Nigeria’s political history .
Babajda revealed in this book that the late head of state, Sani Abacha, was once his biggest headache.
He recalled how Abacha tried to evacuate him violently from power through a coup.
Babangida said Abacha spread false narratives about him in the army to map the coup.
Raees responded on Saturday through the X-handle and said that those who believe Babangida’s writings will eventually follow him in the curse.
He said:If the lifespan of these two related numbers is reversed, Abacha will never relieve this betrayal.
“If we consider General Babajdah’s Journey to Service (2025) as his self-written, the self-proclaimed Bible accepted as truth, only truth, then any belief that it is only following its author towards the curse.
“The biggest headache for General Babajda was never General Abacha, who protected his life and reputation in numerous ways, but his own thoughts and creativity earned him the evil genius he revealed.”
