Activist Detoun apologized to the woman she asked for, who came out at 4.30 a.m. and worked with her 11-year-old daughter at Ikoyi.
Lib earlier shared a video she posted showing the moment she matched the sweeper and scolded her for allowing her daughter who she thought was a minor “4.30am” to help her sweep her hiring estate. Adetoun argued that having her daughter join her sweep was illegal child labor.
After a thrill of opposition she received for posting the video, Adetoun visited the woman and apologized to her if she felt humiliated by her actions. When questioned, the sweeper said her job was paid N19,500 and left her position in Oworo to Ikoyi to perform her duties. She mentioned that her husband is not working and must work hard for his family.
