    • Alhaji Musliu Ayinde Ayinde Insanya, KNY AS MC OLUOMO, is the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
    • A video of him at an outdoor rally went viral, sparking online discussion.
    • In the video, he is seen wearing APC-themed attire and a felt hat with the emblem of President Bola Tinubu and the “4+4” symbol.

Alhaji Musliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has sparked debate online after a video of an outdoor rally surfaced.

In the video, MC Oluomo is seen wearing APC themed clothing and a Turkish felt hat with the signature badge of President Bola Tinubu and the “4+4” symbol. He was filmed handing out £5,000 notes to people queuing in front of him, with recipients happily collecting the cash.

Just days after MC Oluomo delivered a speech at the NURTW Region 4 representative meeting in Ilorin on Wednesday, January 17, the video started circulating on social media.

Nollywood actor Emeka Nwagbaraocha has made a mockery of the video, praising MC Oluomo as a “good man” who personally oversees the distribution of the Rs 5,000 notes to ensure fairness and prevent any form of cheating.

    He wrote:

“He also gave it to them himself so no one could cheat them. A very kind man.”

@abazwhyllzz: “They just bought them for 5k, lmao.”

@zenmagafrica: “Poverty is a weapon. Hunger is a vote… Nigerians need to be saved from these evil and heartless leaders.”

@adejare_stephen: “MC Oluomo showed support in his own way – a 5k may be small but for many it means food on the table and relief for the day. A commendable gesture. Kundun si fun yin.”

@UmehWrites: “There is no money to pay for their transportation to the venue. But why use a camera and film it yourself?”

@ITS_INNERCHILD: “Whether MC Oluomo is still in power or not, I don’t want to know. Let’s not pretend this is charity. This is not kindness. This is politics. This is what the APC is doing and they have mastered it over the years: buying loyalty with crumbs.”

@ToniRhymze: “Kneeling down to receive the bare minimum only shows that hunger is happening, especially in communities that speak the same language as our precidos. Hungry dey o.”

UnseriousHQ1: “They’re not buying votes anymore, it’s going to be a long journey.”
