Nollywood actor Sylvester Madu denied selling used clothes, known as Okirika, after his video spread.
Videos of the actor selling clothes in Enugu in 2023 have been around the corner with his store.
The actor has now reacted in a new interview, which he admits is his in the video, but says the clothes are brand new from the US rather than Okirika.
He added that the fact that he was dressing on the floor did not mean that they were okirika. He further said that he had been in the apparel business for many years.
“First of all, I don’t sell Oklahoma. Those clothes I’ve been photographed selling aren’t necessarily Oklahoma because they’re on the floor. I don’t sell Oklahoma.
He mentioned that when they were sold in the United States and imported to Nigeria, he bought clothes.
He said: “I have multiple stores and I have boys selling for me. I don’t do big guys, I go out and sell myself. I have a lot of people selling for me. I have different stores. I monitor my business. I have been in this business for over 30 years.”
