Emily Osment filed for divorce with her husband Jack Anthony just five months after her marriage.
The young Sheldon star filed for divorce on Friday, March 7, citing irreconcilable differences.
Osment turned 33 on Monday, March 10, and Anthony ended on October 12, 2024 after his engagement in June 2023.
Osment lists the separation date December 7, 2024. This means they were married for less than three months before they separated.
The couple has no children together and has a training.
“I think you have to firmly root your feet in any major decision in your life, whether it’s relationships, work or anything possible,” she said in a statement to people. “Ultimately, it’s not resolved.”
At the time of engagement in June 2023, she shared a sweet Instagram post saying she was “happy” when she showed off her engagement ring – a diamond next to a round emerald with gold on it.
“I didn’t know life could be so sweet. I’m proud of the lives we have built together and the people we have built over the past few years,” the actress wrote in the title.
“This love is so big and so unique that I know it can do anything.” “I’m honored to be by your side every day. I love you, Jack.”
At her wedding in May 2024, she talked about the planning process and said she “can’t wait to get married.”
A few days later, she spoke to Gayle King on CBS Mornings and confirmed that she and Anthony were married.
Although she didn’t share the details, Osment said: “So far, it’s great. The last four days have been glorious.”
Since filing for divorce, Osment has removed photos of her and Anthony from her Instagram profile.
