Boseman, known for his commitment to craftsmanship, privately fought stage IV colon cancer while filming in the summer of 2019. His diagnosis, which began in the public, has been starting from Phase III since 2016.
After Davis’ death, he described him as a “beautiful man and artist” who was deeply committed to his work. “His qualities are very few today, both young and old, and it is a complete commitment to the performing arts form, both self and whatever it is,” she said.
